Our Mission

The mission of the National Society of Software Engineers (NSOSE) is to support software engineers by fostering community, advancing ethical practice, promoting professional development, and serving as a voice for the profession.

Responsibilities

  • Support and uphold the mission and vision of NSOSE.
  • Provide governance and oversight to ensure decisions align with nonprofit requirements.
  • Offer trusted guidance to help establish stability and protect the integrity of the organization.
  • Participate in virtual board meetings and contribute to decision making.
  • Review and approve materials, with approvals permitted via email when appropriate.

Commitment

  • Serve a term as defined by the bylaws.
  • Attend scheduled virtual board meetings.
